Solera Networks Upgrades Virtual Appliance

Salt Lake City-based Solera Networks, the developer of security tools which is headed by Steve Shillingford, has upgraded the firm's virtual appliance, the company said today. The firm said that its DeepSee Virtual Appliance--a pre-packaged and pre-configured set of software designed to run on such virtual environments as VMware ESX, Citrix XenServer, and Windows Hyper-V--includes a number of enhancements. The firm said those updates include five times the visibility, monitoring and analytic capacity of its prior generations and support for up to 10 terabytes of packet, session, and file data. Solera's products are used for security analysis and packet capture, by security researchers, security consultants, security analysts and others.
