SCO Adds Clustering Software

Lindon, Utah-based SCO has rolled out a new, high availability clustering product for the firm's OpenServer 6 product. The new software, which targets customers looking for non-stop, automated clustering of business applications, is available as an add on to SCO's OpenServer 6 product. SCO said that the software package supports dynamic load balancing, and better fault tolerance on TCP/IP-based applications. The new clustering package supports up to 5 nodes, and includes a Java-based graphical user interface for management. The software also supports UnixWare 7.1.4, and is licensed based on number of installed CPUs in a system.
