Rogue Wave Acquires Visual Numerics

Boulder, Colorado-based Rogue Wave Software announced today that the firm has acquired Houston, Texas-based Visual Numerics, a developer of analytics software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Visual Numerics develops software used to visualize and analyze complex data. rogue Wave said the buy would help its customers deliver advanced analytics applications in scalable, distributed computing environments. Rogue Wave is venture backed by Battery Ventures.
