Rivet To Open Source XBRL Viewer

Denver, Colorado-based Rivet Software, a provider of business software, said today that it is open sourcing the firm's XBRL Viewer application. The firm's software allows for the viewing of XBRL encoded information, used as part of new financial regulations for computer-readable financials. The firm said that its release of its application into open source is to encourage the establish new communities for developing XBRL technology. The firm said it will release the source in Q1 of 2007.
