Realm Taps AuthenTec For Authentication

Salt Lake City Utah-based Realm Systems announced today that the company has tapped AuthenTec, a provider of biometric technology, for a secure fingerprint sensor. Realm's pocket sized personal server, which contains its own processor, memory, and storage, will use AuthenTec's biometric fingerprint sensor to conrol access to the device. Realm's server operates off a USB port on any PC, and is targeted at companies who need a platform for allowing users to access secure applications via a VPN connection. The Realm iD3 personal server uses the host PC's keyboard, video, and mouse to access the device.
