Ramtron Finds Design Win In Korea
Colorado Springs-based Ramtron, a developer of nonvolatile ferroelectric random access memory and other semiconductors, said this morning that Hyundai Autonet of Korea will use its products for smart airbags. The win is the company's latest in the area of smart airbag systems, where its memories are used to store information about the weight of the occupant, and severity of crash, allowing air bags to deploy more intelligently. The firm's memories are used to store high frequency sensor updates in those products.
