Plasmon In Private Equity Buyout

Colorado Springs-based Plasmon Holdings LLC said Thursday taht it has completed a management buyout and organizational restructuring of assets from UK-based Plasmon PLC. According to the new firm, it has acquired Plasmon Inc. in the US, and specific assets from Plasmon PLC in the data storage market. The buyout is being backed by an unnamed, U.S. private equity firm. Financial terms of the buyout were not disclosed. Plasmon is a developer and manufacturer of optical media-based and other data storage products, used in the enterprise and other sectors. The new firm will be headed by Steven Murphy.
