Pharmaca Takes $20M

Boulder-based Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy, a retail chain of pharmacies providing what it calls "integrative medicine", said Wednesday that it has raised $20M in a financing. The round was led by Highland Capital Partners, and also included the Highland Consumer Fund and Physic Ventures. According to Pharmaca, the funding will be used for new store expansion. Pharmaca said it expects to add 12 stores per year to its existing 20 stores. The ronud will bring the firm's total raised to more than $45.50M. Pharmaca offers a combination of conventional prescriptions and natural health products. More information »
