Pelion's CloudVelox Snags Funding From Cisco
Salt Lake City-based venture investor Pelion Ventures has made another investment in company CloudVelox, a provider of cloud-based disaster recovery and migration tools, alongside Cisco Corp.. According to Silicon Valley-based CloudVelox, it raised $15M in a Series C funding, led by Cisco, and also included prior investors Mayfield Fund, Pelion Venture Partners and Third Point Ventures. Pelion's investment in CloudVelox is overseen by Chris Cooper, who also sits on Cloud Velox's board; Cooper previously was at Novell and WordPerfect, and currently sits on the board of the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association.
