Parvus Extends VxWorks Support

Salt Lake City-based Parvus, the developer of embedded computing products for the military and rugged market, said this week that it is now supporting VxWorks, the popular real time operating system (RTOS) across its entire MIL/COTS DuraCor mission computer product line. The systems are used for military and aerospace customers. VxWorks is a real time operating system from Wind River, which is heavily used in embedded applications. Real time operating systems are far more reliable, highly controlled, and closer to the hardware than consumer operating systems, and are used in embedded systems.
