PakSense Gets Win At Calavo

Boise, Idaho-based PakSense said today that it has signed on Calavo Growers, an avocado packaging and marketing firm, as a customer. PakSense, which develops temperature sensitive labels for the agriculture and perishables industry, said that Calavo will use its labels for all of its avocado shipments, as well as for shipments of fresh and frozen guacamole and other product lines. PakSense develops an electronic label which monitors the temperature and time perishable items are in distribution; the firm's sensors connect into computer systems and provide minute-by-minute temperature data.
