Owlet Sets Android Release For Later This Year

Provo, Utah-based startup Owlet Baby Care, which is developing "smart socks" which monitor a baby's vitals for parents, said today that it has set a date for the release of an Android version of its smart baby monitor. Owlet said it plans to release the software on June 6th. Owlet--which currently has a version running on iOS--said the app, like the iOS version, will alert parents if a baby stops breathing, and let users view live vitals on their smartphone. Owlet has built in pulse oximetry technology into a baby sock, and track's a baby's breathing and heart rate.
