Omniture's John Pestana to Step Down

John Pestana, co-founder and executive vice president of Omniture Inc., has announced his intention to resign effective Nov. 15, 2007, the company reported Wednesday. Pestana, who formed Omniture with CEO Josh James in 1996 while attending Brigham Young University, said he is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. He will transition his responsibilities over the next several months but will remain on Omniture's board of directors. Based in Orem, Utah, and boasting a staff of nearly 500, Omniture develops business optimization software to some 2,000 customers, including Wal-Mart, Microsoft, AOL, General Motors, Sony and Hewlett-Packard.
