Omniture, NetRatings Settle Lawsuit

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Omniture and New York-based NetRatings have settled NetRatings' patent infringement lawsuit against Omniture. The two companies said this week that the parties have agreed to dismiss all pending legal claims, and that NetRatings will license its patent portfolio to Omniture. Financial terms of the settlement were not disclosed. NetRatings has other patent lawsuits against WebSideStory, Coremetrics, SageMetrics, and Sane Solutions, all competitors in the same web analytics space. The settlement by Omniture is the first settlement of a NetRatings patent lawsuit.
