NewsGator Adds Social Networking Software, Signs Customer

Denver, Colorado-based NewsGator said Monday that it has rolled out new social networking software which works in conjunction with Microsoft's SharePoint Server 2007 portal software. NewsGator said its new Social Sites software allows users of Microsoft's portal software with the ability to collaborate with other employees, through tagging, RSS feed subscriptions, collaboration tools, and other features. The tool has been available since October of last year. Separately, NewsGator said it signed CME Federal Credit Union as a customer of the product. Financial terms of the customer win were not disclosed.
