Microchip Ups Offer For Silicon Storage Technology

Chandler, Arizona-based Microchip Technology announced this morning that it has upped its offer to buy Silicon Storage Technology, to $3.00 per share in cash. The offer is up from an earlier, $2.85 per share offered by the firm. Microchip said the new offer has been unanimously approved by the Board of Directors of both firms.
