Microchip Technology Swaps CFO

Chandler, Arizona-based analog semiconductor manufacturer Microchip Technology Inc. reported Wednesday that Gordon Parnell will resign as vice president and chief financial officer on Dec. 31. The firm said J. Eric Bjornholt, who is currently corporate secretary and vice president of finance, will succeed Parnell as CFO. Microchip said Parnell has been with the company since its founding in April 1989. He has served as vice president and CFO since May 2000. Before that, Microchip added, he spent seven years as vice president, controller and treasurer. Bjornholt, Microchip noted, has held various financial roles since joining the company in 1995. Prior to Microchip, he worked for KPMG.
