Limelight to Deliver Video Content for U.S. Soccer

Digital content delivery network Limelight Networks reported Thursday that it will serve as the exclusive provider of media-streaming services for the U.S. Soccer Federation, which governs amateur soccer in the United States. Limelight said the agency will use Limelight's Live Windows Media Streaming technology to deliver video content worldwide, including select matches featuring the U.S. Men's, Women's and Youth National Teams. Size of the deal was not disclosed. The U.S. Soccer Federation is based in Chicago. Limelight Networks, which is headquartered in Tempe, Ariz., serves more than 700 companies, including Amazon, FOXNews.com, MSNBC.com, MySpace and Xbox Live.
