Kyocera Solar Selected By Qualcomm

Scottsdale, Arizona-based Kyocera Solar, a manufacturer and supplier of photovoltaic panels for the solar energy market, said Friday that the firm's panels have been installed as part of a 417 kilowatt system at Qualcomm's San Diego campus. According to Kyocera, the PV systems are expected to provide 42,745 kilowatt hours a month worth of output. Qualcomm installed the photovoltaic system as part of a initiative to address global warming and protect the enviroment. Financial impact of the install was not disclosed, however Kyocera said that 1,440 Kyocera 200 Watt modules and 678 Kyocera 190 watt modules were installed on the rooftop and parking structure in the project.
