Kids Build Their Own Army Of Robots In Tournament

Wonder where you might find the next up and coming technology whiz kid? If you're in Utah, you'll probably find them later this month at the Utah FIRST LEGO League State Championship, an event which pits thousands of kids ages 9 to 14 to create their own, robotic creations. The event-being run locally by the University of Utah--gives teams of students the chance to show off their technology chops, by solving real-world problems by programming LEGO robots. The event is part of a wider, worldwide competition which pits kids against each other in building robots and inventing new ideas. Similar events are held across the region, including in Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, and elsewhere. The Utah event is being held on January 31st. The Utah program is run out of the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah's Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute.
