Intermap Teams on Flight Simulator Data

Denver-based Intermap Technologies and FS Dreamscapes, a provider of add-ons for Microsoft's popular Flight Simulator software, said today that they have released a series of terrain and photoscenery downloads for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. According to firms, the data provides high resolution elevation data for Flight Simulator X which has eight times the resolution, and 64 times more detail than default terrain in the flight simulator. The data is derived from Intermap's 3D digital mapping program. The highly detailed terrain provides extremely accurate terrain for the flight simulation software, particularly in canyons, mountains, and other scenic areas. The areas currently marketed by the firm include terrain of Hawaii, Utah, California, and Florida, among others.
