Intermap Inks Deal With Automotive Firm
Denver, Colorado-based Intermap Technologies said today that it has signed a joint development agreement with Visteon Corporation, a developer of automotive technology. Intermap said that it will provider highly accurate 3D road geometries for the entire country of Germany, as part of an advanced 3D map database for automotive systems. The data will be used as part of a predictive adaptive front lighting systems for automobiles, which will automatically direct headlamps as vehicles turn into bends. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Intermap is a provider of GIS and other mapping data.
