Intel Invests In Prieto Battery

Fort Collins, Colorado-based Prieto Battery, which is developing Lithium-ion battery technology, has raised funding from Intel, as part of a batch of investments announced by Intel on Tuesday. Size of Intel's investment in the Fort Collins company as not announced. Intel said Prieto is developing 3-D, advanced batteries based on Lithium-ion, which uses non-toxic materials with the ability to customize shapes of those batteries.
