Inova Ships Digital Surveillance Chipset

Phoenix, Arizona-based Inova Semiconductors, a manufacturer of semiconductors, said today that it has shipped a new chip set targeted at the digital video surveillance and security market. The firm's new APIX Advanced Pixel Link chip provides point-to-point, loss-freee transfer of uncompressed video and images through CAT5 cabling. The firm said the new chip was suited for digital video surveillance and security operations using DIF/CIF resolution cameras at up to 60 fps.
