Infopia Gets Patent

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Infopia has received a patent on its online marketplace software, the firm said today. The patent, U.S. Patent No. 7,110,967 is entitled "Method for refining an online marketplace selection for enhancing e-commerce " and was granted September 19th. The patent names Bjorn Espenes, Terry Haas, Jalali Hartman, and Eric Maas as inventors. The patent was originally filed in August of 2000. Infopia said that the patnet protects its best practices and software solution. The patent covers the firm's technology for determining the best forum for a seller's product. Infopia provides a product that helps companies list their products on online marketplaces, including eBay, Amazon, Overstock.com, and other online forums.
