IPOWER, Endurance International Group Merge

Phoenix, Arizona-based IPOWER Inc., a major provider of internet services for small and medium businesses, has merged with The Endurance International Group, the firms reported Wednesday. Terms of the deal, which closed May 4, were not revealed. However, the companies said their combination makes them the nation’s third-largest shared hosting company, with more than 600,000 Web sites between them. The businesses added that they will continue to operate as separate entities. IPOWER and Endurance International both provide hosting of web sites on shared services. IPOWER, founded in October 2001, is headquartered in Phoenix. The Endurance International Group is based in Burlington, Mass., and was established in 1997.
