IHS Acquires RootMetrics

Englewood, Colorado-based IHS has acquired RootMetrics, which compiles and provides wireless coverage maps for telecom carriers. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. IHS said the acquisition is subject to regulatory review, including expiration or termination of the applicable waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976. RootMetrics is based in Bellevue, Washington.
