Guardian ProStar Gets Patent

Grand Junction, Colorado-based Guardian ProStar, a developer of technology used for collecting location information for the utility and construction industry, has just scored a new patent, according to the firm's intellectual property law firm. According to Christie, Parker & Hale LLP, Guardian ProStar has just been issued U.S. Patent No. 7,482,973, which covers collecting and managing data and information about utility assets buried under the ground. According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the patent was actually granted on January 27 of 2009; however, a more recent patent, No. 7,834,806, was granted to Guardian ProStar today, and is also related to the firm's utility asset data collection and management and based on the original patent filing. That newer patent names Layne D. Tucker, John Lepper, Daniel E. colby, Page Tucker, and Tom Y. Sawyer, Jr. as inventors.
