Gogo Ties With Wi-Fi Provider Boingo

Gogo, the in-flight internet service run by Aircell, has linked with the operator of a roaming Wi-Fi network, Boingo, the two said this morning. Boingo said that its customers can now use their login to access Gogo from more than 1,100 planes from nine carriers. Access will be through Boingo's usernames and passwords, however, users will still be billed access charges for Wi-Fi on those flights, based on the length of the flight. The deal primarily makes it easier for travelers to manage a single billing and log-in for accessing those Wi-Fi services. Aircell has operations in both Broomfield, Colorado and Itasca, Illinois.
