Gobiquity Sees $6M For Vision Screening Tools

Scottsdale, Arizona-based Gobiquity, which develops mobile software to help screen kids for vision loss issues, has raised $6M in a Series B funding. The funding came from InterWest Partners. Gobiquity develops software called GoCheck Kids, which provides detection and prevention of permanent vision loss. The company said the funding will go specifically its product development and global expansion. Andrew Burns is CEO of Gobiquity. The company said its mobile vision screening applications has now been used for more than 100,000 screenings.
