GoDaddy Partners With Women's Technology Group

Scottsdale, Arizona-based GoDaddy is further boosting its profile as a supporter of women, through a new partnership with the Anita Borg Institute (ABI), which helps encourage the advancement of women in technology. According to the company today, it will help support the ABI, which was founded by well known female computer scientist Anita Borg. GoDaddy said that one third of its top leadership is comprised of women, including recently appointed board member Betsy Rafael, CTO Elissa Murphy, CMO Barb Rechterman, Chief Communications Officer Karen Tillman, and General Counsel Nima Kelly. The move is one of the latest by GoDaddy to reform its image as being women and small business friendly. Those moves have included dropping its once-risque Superbowl ads. GoDaddy--with its eyes on an IPO, and new owners--has been dramatically reworking its image to "speak inclusively" to its entire customer base.
