GeoMetWatch Scores $6M For Weather Satellites

North Logan, Utah-based GeoMetWatch said this week that it has raised $6M in a Series A funding round. Source of the new funding was not disclosed. According to GeoMetWatch, the funding will go towards the launch of its first satellite sensors in 2016. GeoMetWatch partners with commercial communication satellite operators to include its sensors, which are being built at Utah State University. The deal comes a few short weeks after the announcement by the company that it has partnered with NASA to provide Earth observation and weather data to the agency. More information »
