Denver-based Galvanize, which operates a network of campuses teaching a wide range of classes designed to train entrepreneurs, engineers, and data scientists, said it is planning to start its first classes in New York in June. The company announced the date on Monday, after reporting that its Data Science and Web Development courses are now officially licensed by the New York Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision (BPSS). Galvanize says it now has eight campuses across the U.S.; the New York location is partially funded by $1.3M in a funding from New York State, and its Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) program.
