Fusion-io Gets DoD Validation

Salt Lake City-based Fusion-io, the developer of flash-based, solid state disk drives, said today that its SureErase data sanitation tool has been confirmed to meet Department of Defense sanitation standards. The firm said the confirmation came from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and enables its users to securely remove and erase all data on its technology. Ability to securely erase data is a major requirement for government customers and contracts, particularly for the Department of Defense.
