First Solar In 10MW Power Deal

Tempe, Arizona-based First Solar, a developer of thin-film, photovoltaic modules, said Thursday that the firm has inked an agreement to build a 10 megawatt, photovoltaic power plant for Sempra Generation. According to First Solar, the plan will be located near Boulder City, Nevada, and that it will design, engineer, and construct the plant, along with providing monitoring and maintenance services. The firm said the plant will be complete by the end of 2008. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed.
