First Data Buys Mobile Loyalty App Developer Perka

Denver-based First Data, which provides credit card processing services, has acquired mobile application developer Perka. Terms of the deal have not been announced, however, reports are placing the deal at around $30.0M. First Data said that it will make Perka an autonomous subsidiary of the company, run by the company's current management and product development team. Perka had been based in Portland, Oregon.
