Filtrbox Preps New Version

Boulder-based Filtrbox, an online news filtering service, is prepping a new version of the firm's service it is calling Filtrbox G2. The firm--which is venture backed by Flywheel Ventures, True Ventures, Techstars, and local angel investors--told its users it will be offering early access to its existing customers in advance of public release. Filtrbox allows users to specify keywords and topics and have articles delivered and filtered. The new version of the firm's service will offer unlimited filtering, 6 months of article history, among other features--a significant upgrade from the existing 25 filter, 45 day history in its Pro version. The company also offered its existing customers half-price access to the new service, charging $10.00 per month rather than the firm's standard $20.00 a month for its Pro service.
