FEED Becomes Mocapay

Boulder, Colorado-based FEED, a firm developing mobile payment services, said Wednesday afternoon that it has changed its name to Mocapay. The firm, which inked $3.25M in a venture capital round led by Lacuna Venture Fund in early July, said that the new name is indicative of the service it provides. Mocapay is developing a service that allows consumers to pay for goods and services using their mobile phones. The company also has expanded its executive team, saying that it has added Michael Ferkiss as VP of business development, Lance Gentry as CMO, JK Hullett as CFO, Doug Hurst as senior product manager, and Dean Rizutto as CTO.
