Eleutian Technology Merges With Chinese Firm Idapted

Cody, Wyoming-based Eleutian Technology, a provider of English teachers to students via the internet, has merged with Chinese firm Idapted Ltd.. According to the two firms, they have merged to become Eleutian Technology Inc. The firm is venture backed by Cheyenne Capital, Gobi Partners, plus former Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers partner Russell Siegelman and Xu Xiao Ping, co-founder of New Oriental. Eleutian uses Internet video conferencing technology to supply English teachers to students anywhere in the world, and has more than 500 teachers working with the firm. Idapted Ltd. develops Internet learning software. Eleutian Technology was founded by Kent Holiday, who remains President and CEO of the combined firm. A spokesperson for the firm said that the backing of its investors came in an earlier investment round.
