Dot Hill's Longmont Team Gets Patents

Dot Hill Systems, a developer of data storage products and storage arrays, disclosed today that its Longmont team has scored two patents for technology related to its offerings. According to Dot Hill, which is based in California but has operations in Longmont, Colorado, it was granted U.S. Patent 7,558,897 and U.S. Patent 7,558,981. Both patents came out of its Longmont team, with the '897 patent held by Ian Robert Davies and Victor Key Pecone, and the '981 patent held by Paul Andrew Ashmore and Gene Maine. Both of the patents cover redundant storage controller technology used in Dot Hill's products, and were both granted on July 7th.
