DigiCert Gets Funding From Private Equity Investor

Lindon, Utah-based Digicert, a provider of enterprise, SSL certificates and other digital security products, has scored a majority investment from private equity firm TA Associates. Size and terms of the investment were not announced by the companies. TA Associates said the investment came as a result of "very strong growth" at DigiCert, and that it will work with the company's management team to continue that growth. DigiCert provides SSL certificates, which are required for secure web servers; TA said DigiCert has over 60,000 clients.
