Denver's Meritage Funds Invests in U.K. Firm
Denver-based venture capital firm Meritage Funds has invested in a London-based interactive advertising provider, the recipient announced Monday. Miniweb Interactive, which specializes in delivering targeted, Web-style advertisements to television viewers, said it raised $32 million in private equity financing. The company credited Meritage and Nevada-based DeGeorge Holdings III with leading the effort, noting that it will use the money to finance international growth. James C. Allen, operating partner at Meritage and chairman of Miniweb's board, said his company invested in Miniweb because it has the "right technology" to make television-based interactive advertising successful.
