Control4 Hits Million Zigbee Device Milestone

Salt Lake City-based Control4, a developer of home automation products, said this week that it has now shipped one million of its ZigBee products. The firm's home control products are used for controlling lights, appliances, home entertainment systems, and other products in homes; the firm is also now targeting the "smart grid" and energy management market. Zigbee is a low-power, wireless control protocol. The firm says it has been shipping Zigbee systems since April of 2005.
