The New Economy Venture Accelerator (NEVA), part of Colorado State University, said today that it has signed the first three tenants as part of its program. The incubator said that it has selected AYZH, Cradle Naturals and Small Engines for Economic Development to receive space, financial support, and mentoring in the accelerator. AYZH is a social venture distributing products to improve health of impoverished women in India; Cradle Naturals is looking to bring organic food products from Africa to the U.S. market; and SEED develops irrigation products and services aimed at helping rural farmers in South Asia. The NEVA incubator is particularly focused on ventures that integrate social and environmental considerations into their businesses.
