BioVigilant Gets $4M
Tucson, Arizona-based BioVigilant has received $4M in a new, venture funding led by Battelle Ventures. Battelle Ventures said yesterday that it had invested in a $4M Series A funding of the company, which develops biodetectors used to detect microbes and bio-agents in air or liquid. Innovation Valley Partners, Pearl Street Venture Funds, and Community Investment Corporation also participated in the round. BioVigilant has previously received $2.4M in start up financing. Batelle General Partner Ralph Taylor-Smith joins the company's board as part of the funding. More information »
