Avnet Shows Growth

Phoenix-based Avnet, an electronics distributor, said Thursday that it had revenues of $3.65B for the first quarter of fiscal 2007, which ended September 30. The company said that the quarter was a 11.6% growth over first quarter of fiscal 2006, and that it earned $64.1 million during the quarter on those revenues. The firm saw its biggest gains in Asia, where it reported 27% growth year over year.
