Avanquest Names Shevlin OEM Divisional VP

Denver-based business and consumer software publisher Avanquest Software reported Thursday that it has hired Julie Shevlin as global vice president of its OEM division. Shevlin, Avanquest explained, will be responsible for the group’s worldwide development, sales and marketing. Avanquest said its OEM unit licenses company technology to partners in the mobile telephony and information technology industries while maintaining operations in the United States, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Avanquest, Shevlin managed strategic alliances for Advanced Micro Device's commercial business division. She also was a senior partner manager for Lucent Technology's Octel Messaging Division and business development director for Pronto Networks Inc.
