Apple Supplier To Cut 727 Arizona Jobs

GT Advanced Technologies, the bankrupt manufacturer of sapphire glass for Apple Computer, revealed this week that it will cut 727 jobs at its Arizona plant as part of its recent bankruptcy filing. The company, which filed for Chapter 11 last week, comes as Apple has been less aggressive in rollin out sapphire as a material in its phones.
