Ancestry.com Sees Subscriber Growth, Raises Estimates

Provo, Utah-based Ancestry.com reported Friday that saw a 39 percent increase in revenue, year-over-year, and a 34 percent subscriber growth, and is raising its FY 2010 outlook. The firm said it now has 1,377,000 subscribers as of the end of Q3, a 34% increase over the same quarter last year. The firm said the boost in subscribers came due to the success of the firm's marketing programs. The firm attributed that boost to its tie into NBC's Who Do You Think You Are? television series. Because of the growth, the firm said it now expects to have revenues of between $298 and $300M, up from a previous $290 to $295 million.
