Aerospace Incubator Opens Doors In Colorado

A new aerospace business incubator, the 8th Continent Aerospace Business Incubator, said today that it has opened up its doors at the Colorado School of Mines, to focus on turning technology from the space and defense industry into profitable businesses and investment opportunities. The incubator said that it is funded by the Colorado Economic Development Commission (EDC), via a $150,000 grant which is being matched by the Colorado School of Mines, the law firm Townsend and Townsend and Crew, and Metzger Associates Public Relations. The incubator said the $372,000 in cash and in-kind services will be received over three years. The incubator has inked partnerships with angel group the Keiretsu Forum, the Rockies Venture Club, TechStars, and the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and International Trade.
